I guess it was an icky file that was corrupted? Who knows. I had a problem a while ago with the windows client not downloading all the files on a fresh install despite troubleshooting many times, so that ruined my perception that it was robust. It holds 16gb of my data which I guess isn't a lot, but it's what I had in my old Dropbox account. Setup was kinda weird for seafile pro (needing to enter the container and execute an upgrade script). I've been using seafile for a few months (previously was using nextcloud until I discovered how slow it is). Seafile doesn't place the files in a readable way on the disk, so it's harder (in my opinion) to take a backup of the stuff and what is Seafile database should get corrupted, then all my data is gonne in some weird way.ĭoes anybody here use Seafile? And do you like using it and how much data are you using it with, because another question will be, does it handle multiple drives good like the shares do?Įither way, I have to go 100% with one or another and I can't seem to find any pros and cons on this topic. Though, I wish that can get access to my data remotely and therefor found Seafile, since I want it to be a bit fast and only need the file access/sharing part, Nextcloud is too big and slow for that.īut now I'm in that dilemma where I don't know what to choose. I've been using unRAID for quite some time and love it to pieces with the shares and everything and slowly filling my disks with data. I'm in the position at the moment where I can't find exactly the pros/cons on my wishes and needs.
